I don't know why i start dreaming sometimes. Yes, its not good to have big dreams, especially, if you are an Indian. United States is a land of dreams. People go there, can dream big and they will be successful. India, on opposite, in land of harsh realities. You are going to suffer for every small and big step you want to take forward.
This is a country where the government buys more grains than it can store. The food grains get spoiled due to lack of storage. People die due to hunger in this country, but we also let our farm production go waste.
I find it very strange that FMCG and Food Processing companies are complaining about lower margins and difficult times ahead. Most of these companies pass on their higher costs to consumers and they are reducing weight of the product.
Reading the results from Nestle, the company has maintained good margins, but sales were not that good compared to similar period last year. I am concerned about all these companies reducing the weight of products. And, they are doing this in a very cunning way.
I read a funny report today that China will overtake United States in terms of GDP by year 2020 and then by year 2050, India will overtake China in terms of GDP.
These figures are interesting and might be taken in positive light by many people who are optimistic about Indian Growth Story, but 40 years is a long time. By that time, i will be quite old and i guess the world would have become a totally different place (maybe not worth living anymore).
Very funny video about bureaucrats and politicians. Its sad but most of the bureaucrats in India and Pakistan are out of control and they aren't even easily under control of Politicians.
Featured in this video, Pakistani Artist Sohail Ahmed.
The video is in Punjabi, so, only people who can understand this, will be able to enjoy it.
Worth watching Video about Mission of Invisible Children with help of Jason Russell to bring Joseph Kony to justice. The video has been watched by more than 80 million people and it needs support from all of us to save children in the African countries.
after the efforts of Jason Russell and Invisible Children, Barack Obama has taken action. Lets see what happens next and how Joseph Kony is put under control.
Pretty nice video. All the three main characters played their roles very nicely.
The direction of the movie was great and concept was interesting as well.
So, i am wondering, if this is just human nature or people around us are simply over expecting.
the more you do, the more you achieve,
people expect you to even go higher and achieve more.
not considering that you can't be the first in the race, all the time.....
i see it in dance shows on TV. the judges expect more from contestants and find the minutest of faults in their performances. i guess many would agree if i say that those people performing on dance shows are much better than any of the bollywood stars.
Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Beh Gaye
Hum Wafaa Karke Bhi Tanha Reh Gaye
Zindagi ik Pyaas Ban Kar Reh Gayi, Pyar Ke Kisse Adhoore Reh Gaye..
Shayad Unka Aakhri Ho Yeh Sitam, Har Sitam Yeh Soch Kar Hum Seh Gaye...
Khud Ko Bhi Hum Ne Mita Daala Magar, Faasle Jo Daramiyaan the Rah Gaye....
After reading the reports, i was little shocked that Flipkart.com has acquired Letsbuy.com, for an undisclosed amount in all cash deal. Flipkart was already having a very steady increase in its userbase. I don't think there was any need for the company to acquire its competition at a much higher valuation.
Letsbuy, as per my view was based mainly on the heavy online advertising they did. And, there were reports that the company was running out of cash. There are many companies which are operating in online space in India these days and many of them offer a wide variety of products.
Recently, i visited some shops in the city to buy some clothes and shoes. To my surprise, the prices were up and quality was down and there were really too many shoppers.
The number of shops have increased by almost three times in the past 8-10 years. There are many new brands, many multi-brand outlets and many shopping malls and most of them are full with costumers. I am still not sure, how many of them actually convert into buyers, but there are way too many shoppers compared to 10 years back.
